Four Wheeler Magazine March 1998:
Another must have for the Library The Jeep Bible: Second Edition by Granville King Almost 15 years ago, Granville King, in his unique style, published a book specifically written for those of us who love, live and breathe Jeep. There has never been a more user-friendly instruction book on how to keep your Jeep alive than The Jeep Bible. The main body of the work discusses each of the major components of any pre-1986 Jeep: Leaks and Noises, Engine Troubleshooting, Manual Transmissions and Transfer Cases, and more. The book was originally published in 1985, but recently benefits from another Jeep enthusiast and technical expert - Four Wheeler's own "Techline" answer man, Willie Worthy. Willie spent many days and nights making a few corrections along the way, as well as adding his own personal stamp on the Jeep Bible, with three additional chapters covering everything from engine to axle swaps, locking differential options, wheel and tire combinations, and synthetic lubes, to name a few. In addition, Willie compiled, quite possibly, the most comprehensive listing of Jeep sources ever assembled. These are not just books, they are the resource. Fergawdsake, git yours ratt now!

3. 4WD & Sport Utility (March 1998)

4WD & Sport Utility Magazine: In the March, 1998 issue of the magazine, the technicla editor Trent Riddle, gave an unprecedented FULL-PAGE book review to The Jeep Bible. Now, when technical editors give a full-page to a book review, you know theyve got a genuine apreciation for it! Our hats are off to Granville King and Willie Worthy for contributing such a fine book to the Jeep library.
Mr. Riddles review is too long to quote here. Suffice it to say he not only reviews the book as a whole, he reviews EVERY CHAPTER! Now theres a labor of love for a technical editor whod rather be stripping down a tranny than pounding a computer keyboard.
Were just going to quote the laurels he gives to Chapter 18, the all-important chapter added by Willie Worthy, in which he covers Jeep modifications.
Chapter 18 may well the the best secion in this fine book, as it covers modifications to your Jeep. Time-honored upgrades such as engine and transmission swaps, gearing upgrades and suspension lifts comprises only some of the information covered here. If you have every thought of making a few changes to your Jeep, you must read this chapter.
4. Jeep World (May 2001)

Jeep World: This British publication reviewed the book in its May, 2001 edition: Not to be confused with the Jeep Owners Bible (Of courese not! Our book was published years before that one!)
This is a different book altogether. Long-time Jeep owners arefamiliar with Granville King, (also known as Desert Fox). After a lifetime with Jeeps, Granville enjoyed a second childhood surrounded by Jeeps and in the company of his beloved Super Dawg on a beach in Baja California. There, in between hauling gringo 4-WD duffers out of the sand, he pecked away on his manual Underwood typewriter to produce this legendary book...
(The second edition, has Willie Worthy, technical expert from Four Wheeler Magazine doing corrections and additions) So you now have two master mechancis at your side as you work on your Jeep.
A truly great book, and one all should own!

There have been a number of readers comments appear on www.Amazon.com: (Buy the book here though!)
- If you have a CJ or are a Jeep afficianado then this book is for you.
- Better than Chilton!
- When working on my 1959 CJ3B or my brother's Scrambler I go to this book first, then the factory manuals. Clearly written, with tips only developed from experience. It's like having a personal Jeep mechanic in your garage.
